About Code Europe

Poland's gathering point for engineers building modern software.

Since 2016, Code Europe has been the community where Poland's most experienced software practitioners meet - and where the conversations about building modern software systems in the age of AI actually happen. The annual festival is the largest expression of that community.

What we are

A platform, not just an event.

Most conferences are content containers. Code Europe is a meeting point - between practitioners who build systems, companies that need the talent, and the problems worth solving right now. The annual event is where that converges; the community reaches across Central Europe year-round.

For engineers and leaders

Deep technical content built around shipped systems and real tradeoffs. No vendor scripts. No beginner content padding the schedule.

For companies

Direct access to the engineers Poland's and CEE's tech industry is competing to hire - architects, senior and mid-level developers, tech leads.

For speakers

A room of peers - engineers and architects who have context, who'll push back, and who'll remember the talk if it delivered something real.

By the numbers

A decade of delivery.

Nine editions. Three cities. Over 38,000 participants. The numbers reflect consistent execution - but the more useful signal is who shows up: experienced engineers evaluating the content on its merits.

Speakers who built the tools you use.

Past editions have brought practitioners from Google, Microsoft, Anthropic, AWS, CNCF, Adobe, GitHub, Netflix, and Harvard - alongside creators and co-designers of C++, D, R, Elixir, Nuxt.js, and Ruby core tools.

Our mission

To build the environment where Poland's - and Central Europe's - engineering community advances. In practice, not just in theory.

What that means for content

We program for practitioners building modern software systems. Every session is evaluated on whether an experienced engineer will leave with something they can use - a system, a tradeoff, a decision they can defend. That standard holds across AI, Cloud, Architecture, and everything adjacent.

What that means for community

The right room matters more than the biggest room. Our audience skews experienced by design - because the most useful conversations happen between people who share the same level of context. Engineers with two years of experience and engineers with twelve are both welcome; the content is calibrated for people who ship production systems.

The team

Built by people who care about the craft.

A Warsaw-based team with backgrounds in event production, developer community-building, and technical program curation. Running this since 2016.

Code Europe is organized by a Warsaw-based team with backgrounds spanning event production, developer community-building, and technical program curation. We've been running this since 2016 - long enough to know that the details matter: who's in the room, what's on stage, and whether the people attending leave with something real.

Our partners include technology companies, engineering foundations, and professional communities across Poland and Central Europe who share an interest in a healthier, more capable engineering ecosystem - and in finding the people to build it.
